Job Description :
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Operator with chemical handling experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and safe handling, packaging, and documentation of materials in a warehouse or production environment. This position plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality product delivery to customers while maintaining compliance with safety and procedural standards.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document all tasks performed and maintain a clean and orderly facility.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials; unload deliveries and label materials using system-generated labels.
  • Perform material identification testing and generate supporting documentation.
  • Stage and move materials using electric walk-behind tow motors and manual pallet jacks.
  • Manually portion chemicals (e.g., amino acids) following SOPs and batch record instructions.
  • Sample products for Quality Control (QC) testing and clean/label finished goods containers.
  • Conduct material and product inspections and room clearances.
  • Package, palletize, wrap, and load finished goods for shipment.
  • Perform SAP transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Complete documentation such as batch records, logbooks, and forms per Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA principles.
  • Identify and report deviations or discrepancies and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, PPE, and utensils.
  • Proactively identify safety hazards and participate in safety improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in required training sessions and complete all assigned electronic training.
  • Exhibit professional conduct with all staff and visitors.
  • Follow and contribute to GMP/ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards as applicable.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, 5S, and process optimization.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Chemical handling experience is required.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to safety and procedural standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform transactions in SAP.
  • Excellent documentation skills and understanding of GDP/ALCOA principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and move heavier loads with assistance.
  • Willingness to work in an environment where chemicals are present.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in quality control or team lead roles.
  • Knowledge of IPEC GMP/ISO 9001/14001/45001 Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with 5S or Lean Manufacturing principles.
