About the role: Reporting to the Fleet Operations Manager, the Service Coordinator is responsible for assisting the organization in achieving effective asset performance through data management, work order management, inventory management, and data analysis. This is a key role that assists with ensuring proper workflow and documentation of the unplanned work including emergency breakdowns, daily write ups and other unplanned maintenance to ensure the exact scope of the job was documented properly and if not, the Service Coordinator will work to correct these issues through communication of the maintenance staff. The Maintenance Service Coordinator will identify, present, and assist with the analysis of the emergency and unplanned maintenance to prevent future additional down time of the fleet. As well as assisting the organization in meeting its fleet vision and departmental goals. Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze all completed maintenance repair orders for closure. If any discrepancies are found, resolve and/or communicate with maintenance staff to resolve.
- Generate detailed work orders and document outside vendor repair invoices in our computer-based maintenance system.
- Document and maintain daily fuel and hour usage of vehicles.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled repairs on equipment
- Maintain accurate equipment files with standard truck information (DOT paperwork, invoices, serial number information, PM paperwork etc.) electronically and paper filing.
- Create wheel retorques and assist in maintaining tire inventory.
- Assist in managing parts inventory, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring parts are billed out properly.
- Assist with the completion of special projects in the maintenance department.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement Program.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Two years of relevant maintenance experience or training, Dossier experience preferred
- Computer savvy - Microsoft Office proficient with the ability to learn and leverage fleet management and other systems to drive efficiencies.
- Politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with complex problems.
- Motivational, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diesel Mechanic experience and aptitude.
- Class A or B CDL Preferred
- Prior safety champion experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting to 50 lbs. Motor coordination with finger dexterity, exposure to chemicals, and physical environment with dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.???
