Job Requirements Pay Range: $17.00 to $21.00 hourlyDay Shift available Join our Health Services team as the welcoming face for patients and visitors! The Patient Access Representative ensures a smooth registration and scheduling experience while supporting providers with accurate information and communication. If you're detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this role is for you.What does a Patient Access Specialist do? Greets clients and visitors of the Health Services in a friendly and professional manner and facilitates the patient registration process.Provides the necessary forms and assists clients in completing paperwork.Collects and maintains all patient demographic data and updates information at each appointment. Upon intake, obtains copies of all insurance cards and enters information into the database; identifies any discrepancies and updates the system accordingly.Schedules and confirms medical appointments, dental and behavioral health; tracks no shows and cancellations utilizing a computerized scheduling system. Beyond gaming and hospitality, our portfolio also includes convenience stores, three 18 hole PGA-level golf courses, and other unique ventures.Work Experience To be successful as a Patient Access Specialist, you'll need:High School Diploma or Equivalency.At least one year of medical scheduling experience in a family practice setting.To be proficient in medical terminology, knowledge of computers and excellent data entry skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Ability to communicate with patients, patients' families, co-workers, and providers in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.
