Insight Global is seeking a local contract Certified Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Houston, Texas.
Job Description & RequirementsA healthcare provider in Houston, TX is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and equipment for a wide range of procedures, including Orthopedics (Mako), Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, and Plastics. The technologist will scrub in on surgical cases, assist the surgeon by maintaining a sterile field, and ensure efficient room turnover and instrument decontamination. Additionally, this position plays a key role in orienting and mentoring new surgical technicians. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of human anatomy, aseptic techniques, and the principles of growth and development across all age groups—from infants to geriatrics. This will be a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a 3 month contract to hire position.
Requirements- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)- Experience in scrubbing in on surgical cases to assist the surgeon by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.- Knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures (Ortho (Mako), GYN, ENT, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastics), and aseptic techniques.- Ability to work well under pressure.- Excellent communication skills for educating patients and families.
