We are committed to supporting a diverse workforce and to practicing equity and inclusion for all staff. About the Job We are seeking an Information Systems Assistant to join our IT Operations team. This role provides front-line support to onsite and remote staff, assists with IT equipment setup, manages asset inventory, and supports conference room technology. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve help desk requests from onsite and remote staff. Coordinate the help desk ticket queue, including issue tracking, resource allocation, and ticket escalation to ensure timely resolution. Perform hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and applications. Set up and configure IT equipment in staff offices, including new hire workstations and devices. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Maintain IT asset inventory, network documentation, and equipment configurations. Provide support for conference room technology, including audio/visual equipment, video conferencing platforms, and meeting setups. Operate IT tools, components, and peripheral accessories to support staff needs. Requirements Associate's degree and 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent technical training, education, and experience. CompTIA A certification (or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment). Demonstrated ability to manage help desk requests and ticketing systems. Proven hardware and software troubleshooting skills. Experience maintaining IT asset inventory and equipment tracking. Familiarity with supporting conference room technology and meeting solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills. Customer-service orientation with the ability to support users of varying technical skill levels. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Preferred: macOS support experience Network troubleshooting skills Federal/DoD IT environment experience CompTIA Sec certification Work Location and Job Requirements This position is located at our headquarters office in Alexandria, VA. US citizenship and the ability to pass a government background check The anticipated salary for this role is $56,500 to $70,000. Specific salary offers are based on candidate qualifications and experience.
