Purpose of Position:
To spur entrepreneurship activities and stabilize small businesses in the City of Hartford.
Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact to Hartford small businesses and entrepreneurs in target corridors: (Albany Ave.; Blue Hills Ave.; North Main St.; Farmington Ave.)
- Assist with application submissions from prospective grant program participants.
- Serve as the liaison between the small businesses and entrepreneurs and the City of Hartford.
- Collect, organize, and itemize required documentation from each business.
- Cultivate relationships with small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Facilitate coaching and training to support growth opportunities for entrepreneurs.
- Provide and document feedback and comments received from the small business community.
- Coordinate and attend standing meetings with the City and local merchants.
- Attend and host events for small businesses.
Qualifications
- Outreach, community engagement, and small business/entrepreneurship support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound independent judgement.
- Ability and willingness to take direction from senior leadership.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree preferred or combination of some college and at least 3 years experience in social work, entrepreneurship, community engagement or related field.
Pay:
Ziprecruiter data suggests the average hourly rate for this position is $25.30. Salary range is $10.82 to $43.75
