State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) assist in delivering individual care for a patient under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities:The STNA actively interfaces with patients and families of Akron Children's Hospitals Pediatric Offices. Provides direct care, vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, BP, height, weight, head circumference), or other care to patient according to Hospital policy and procedure as delegated by and under the supervision of the licensed nurse. Performs vision and hearing screenings. Completes and obtains all samples in relation to POCT (Point of Care Testing)Accurately communicates patients' findings and pertinent information to the licensed nurse. Performs clerical and support duties including answering phones and order entry as needed. Helps maintain department operations by ordering, stocking of supplies, cleaning equipment and exam rooms.
