A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Youth Correctional RN.If you are interested in this Youth Correctional RN position, please apply today for immediate consideration!Youth Correctional RN Hours5x8 hour shifts per week - includes every other weekendShift rotates from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Day shift) to 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM (Evening shift)Youth Correctional RN CompensationThe pay for this position is $45.00-50.00 per hour paid weeklyBenefits are available to full-time employees after 90 daysA 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees.Youth Correctional RN ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing clinical care to facility residents and make appropriate referrals as necessary to ensure that residents' medical needs are metProvide emergency first-aid treatment for all youth and staff in compliance with physician/dentist approved standing orders, treatment protocols, oral/written orders and individualized medical/dental/psychiatric treatment plansTriage and treat residents who present with symptoms of medical/dental/psychiatric illness/injuryAssist in the development and implementation of resident individualized medical/dental/psychiatric plans, to ensure that each resident has access to health care services, which are based upon his/her identified needsAdminister prescribed medications/treatments; observe, record and report symptoms, vital signs and reactions to medications and treatment regimensComplete necessary nursing treatments, obtain appropriate specimens and administer immunizations and screening examinations/assessments in compliance with regulations and physician ordersCoordinate appointments and transportation of residents who are referred to off-site health care practitioners so that appropriate follow-up care is receivedPrepare, document and maintain resident/staff medical records and reports to ensure that appropriate care was renderedCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide information, consultation, and guidance regarding the residents' illnesses/injuries to staff, the resident, supervisor and healthcare practitionersFunction in accordance with the Pennsylvania Professional Nurse Law and regulations developed pursuant to the lawReport to his/her supervisor and complete a Juvenile Justice Automated Case System (JJACS) report regarding: any illness/injury to a staff member or resident which requires off ground medical attention including hospitalizations, any suicide or suicidal gestures, any incident that could result in serious allegations of illegal or unprofessional behavior on the part of facility staff members, any alleged criminal activity occurring at the facility, any incidents of alleged resident abuse, any injury/incident involving a visitor or volunteer, and any serious communicable diseaseTranscribe all prescribing practitioner orders and comply with the verbal/written orders unless the employee believes that compliance with the orders would jeopardize the health and safety of the residents.
