Current Opening Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a Great College to Work For, invites applications for a full-time Accountant II - Accounts Payable to join our team of Accounting staff in the Business Office. The Accountant II - Accounts Payable performs a variety of functions related to accounts payable, purchasing, and fixed assets. The Accountant II - Accounts Payable reviews College purchase requisitions for accuracy and generates purchase orders. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable invoices and expense claims for payment, ensuring that both are accurate, properly coded, and authorized for payment. Also ensures that all accounts payable database records are complete and accurate. The Accountant II - Accounts Payable solicits and maintains current Form W-9 information for all active vendors, maintains accurate spreadsheet/s of prepaid expenses, reconciles advances, and prepares and posts journal entries when necessary. Reconciles accounts payable issues by way of prompt, professional communication with outside vendors and internal College personnel. This position handles student inquiries regarding their student accounts, performs related work as required and completes and submits credit applications for the College as needed. Also assists with general department tasks and assignments as necessary. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or related field required. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounts payable required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required. Professional work experience in a college or university setting is a plus. Experience with Jenzabar is also a plus. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to listen, communicate, and collaborate effectively with the College's diverse stakeholders. Analytical skills and the ability and willingness to identify and implement creative solutions. High degree of professionalism and a demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality is required. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position. While some flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity for periodic remote days exists, this position is on campus in Cresson, PA, and is not eligible for remote work.
