Job Description & RequirementsJOB SUMMARY: Provides general nursing care to patients during the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative surgical experience. Manages the non-sterile field and observes the sterile field during a surgical procedure. Responsible for a safe recovery and arousal of the patient from the effects of anesthesia and observing for any potential post-surgical complications. QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nebraska • Knowledge of sterile technique and its application • Knowledge of cautery equipment and audio visual equipment • Knowledge of aseptic technique • Must be able to take call and respond within 30 minutes • Basic Life Support (BLS) • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) • Previous operating room experience preferred
