Under general supervision, to provide personal care including the more complex patient care duties and general housekeeping services for the convalescent, clinically ill, or disabled; and to do other related work, as assigned. Assists patients with more complex health conditions including patients in an unconscious or vegetative state, undergoing IV therapy, nasogastric tube feedings or wound care. Provides personal hygiene including care to the skin, mouth, hair care, and bathing, including showers and bed baths. Provides assistance with ambulation and transfers, including the use of gait belts, Hoyer lifts, walkers and other transfer devices. Provides assistance with prescribed exercises as an extension of therapy services. Prepares light, therapeutic diets, and assistance. Qualifications. Minimum:Must possess and maintain a current Home Health Aide certification AND Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the state of California.
