Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable Document files in a clear, concise, professional manner for various stakeholders What is Required (Qualifications):
2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance/defense and/or personal injury Juris Doctor degree Admission to the California Bar Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in California and meet mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements Ability to travel as required, including attending trials, hearings, and meetings How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Civil litigation experience Experience in insurance defense-related litigation Strong professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence/email About the company
