With an emphasis serving schools with diverse and low-socioeconomic student populations and non-traditional learning environments, Skyrocket leadership has over a century's worth of combined experience leading schools and operational support teams.
Skyrocket's niche expertise is in the intersection between academic and administrative performance. *This role will have a home office with a Hyrbid status, including 20 days per year in person at the Pasadena, CA headquarters for professional development and company events* Hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Standard time. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:* - Responsible for communication about Curriculum Department updates and needs between various stakeholders including other Skyrocket departments and partner clients.
- Maintains communication with the clients about the delivery, release, and updating of curricular products.
- Maintains organized tracking about progress of projects in a timely and accurate manner to Curriculum Specialist Supervisor.
- Ensures that curriculum websites, course description index, course list, and course contracts are kept updated and current. Accesses reliable website resources for company courses.
- Keeps clients informed of test corrections and updates. Maintains and updates the test server on a regular basis. This includes the removal of courses that have been updated and old courses that are no longer in use.
- Create and publish company updates.
- Assists in researching new curriculum trends, state to state requirements, NCAA additions, and the UC Doorways submissions.
- Communicates new resources for students and staff to support the current curriculum.
- Responsible for coordinating with the curriculum development team to ensure key course components are added in advance.
- Participates as a part of the company team.
- Assists with other functions and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: - Ability to cooperatively collaborate with a team in a timely, responsive manner to meet business needs and reach company goals.
- Ability to independently take initiative and work efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and the ability to use technology effectively.
- Ability to do formal presentations to staff and committees regarding curriculum.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving skills, while maintaining diplomacy, courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of company curriculum.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Education and Experience: - Minimum BA or equivalent required.
- Valid Teacher Credential or 30-day permit preferred.
- 2-5 years of Teaching Experience required.
- Curriculum experience preferred.
- InDesign experience preferred.
