Job Description :

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accountant & HR Specialist to join their team. This unique role combines accounting expertise with human resources support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both financial operations and people management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting compliance, and assisting in day-to-day HR activities such as onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.

Job Duties

Accounting

  • Manage general ledger, journal entries,and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations.
  • Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Human Resources

  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with wage and labor laws.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems.
  • Coordinate benefits administration and liaise with benefits providers.
  • Assist with performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related questions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to HR responsibilities preferred.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books and/or QuickBooks Online is heavily preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting best practices.
  • Familiarity with HR best practices, employment law, and payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment.
  • Exposure to benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
