Job Description :

Pride Health is hiring Sterile Processing Technician to support our client's facility in Modesto, CA 95350. This is 3 months of contract with possible extension.

Information -

Location: Modesto, CA 95350

Duration: 3 months of contract with possible extension

Shift Time: 1st Shift

  • 7am-3:30pm
OR 2nd Shift
  • 3pm-11:30pm
OR 3rd Shift
  • 11:00pm-7:30am

Guaranteed hours: 40 hours

Locals' Pay range: $24 - $26/hour

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, and education.

Job Summary:

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring every item meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control.

Job Responsibilities:

-Follow all ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company Work Instructions.

-Decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.

-Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required.

-Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines.

-Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively.

-Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging.

-Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs.

-Maintain accurate and timely records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels.

-Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage.

-Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking.

-Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels.

-Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment.

-Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized.

-Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures.

-Communicate effectively with internal team members, operations personnel, and distribution staff.

-Provide feedback and suggest improvements to workflow and procedures.

-Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and competencies.

-Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required:

  • Education: Highschool or GED or equivalent
  • Licensing/Credentialing: Sterile Processing Technician Certification required
  • Experience Required: Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience in sterile processing, demonstrating proficiency in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization procedures.
