ACT Team Leader – Behavioral Health (Full-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ACT Team Leader to oversee both administrative and clinical operations for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This full-time role requires a balance of leadership and direct care, with at least .5 FTE dedicated to program administration. The Team Leader will supervise a team of 6–8 staff members in Queens, NY, providing guidance in the field and ensuring high-quality services for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders (SUD).

Schedule:

  • 2 days in the field providing oversight and support to case managers
  • 2 days in the office handling administrative and supervisory functions
  • Fridays remote for documentation, meetings, and program coordination

Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day clinical operations of the ACT team.
  • Ensure adequate staff coverage and manage scheduling.
  • Lead daily organizational and service planning meetings.
  • Oversee admissions, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Set up, maintain, and oversee office operations.
  • Manage program budget and service dollar allocation.
  • Supervise clinical documentation and record-keeping processes.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities in collaboration with the QA Director.
  • Ensure adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with community resources, educating providers about ACT services.
  • Coordinate on-call and crisis coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required: MSW, MHC, or MFT.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health program.
  • Prior ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) or mobile crisis team oversight strongly preferred.
  • Clinical experience working with SMI/SUD populations.
  • Experience coordinating services across housing, medical, educational, and employment supports.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car (mileage reimbursed).

  • Full-time, field-based role in Queens, NY.

  • Hybrid schedule: 2 field days, 2 office days, 1 remote day (Friday).
