RN Director, Medical Oncology
Pay Range: $170,000-200,000/yr
Requirements to apply:
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred (Bachelor's degree required)
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 7 years of medical oncology experience with knowledge of accreditations and Joint Commission regulations
• 5–7 years of management and supervisory experience in oncology and clinical operations
• Demonstrated record of success in clinical program development and operations management
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or meet exemption requirements
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Director opportunity overseeing medical oncology services across two cancer centers. This role requires leadership in operations, quality, and accreditation while guiding a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered oncology care.
Job Overview:
The Director of Medical Oncology will oversee day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives for oncology services. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accreditation standards, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement. This role involves fiscal management, staff recruitment and development, and collaboration with physician leaders to optimize workflows and outcomes. You'll supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, set departmental goals, analyze referral patterns, and enhance patient satisfaction through streamlined processes and service integration.
