Technology Sourcing & Procurement Specialist
This role supports the Sourcing & Procurement team within the Finance organization, specifically focused on the technology category. The position plays a key part in managing the end-to-end vendor lifecycle and driving strategic sourcing initiatives that align with enterprise goals, reduce risk, and optimize supplier value.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute processes related to the full vendor lifecycle, including contract development, negotiation, execution, and post-signature management.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business partners and functional leaders, identifying vendor management opportunities that balance risk and maximize value.
- Lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives across technology spend categories; manage RFx processes and negotiate a wide range of technology agreements (e.g., EULAs, SaaS, cloud computing).
- Direct contract lifecycle management activities, including evaluation, selection, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee vendor risk management by ensuring appropriate due diligence and stakeholder engagement; partner with business units to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage vendor performance and relationships, collaborating with internal stakeholders to create performance improvement plans, resolve issues, and manage disengagements when needed.
- Develop and lead negotiation strategies using tools such as cost/benefit analysis, should-cost modeling, and market research to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Audit teams to mitigate supply chain, contractual, and regulatory risks.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across business units; monitor satisfaction and drive alignment on cross-functional sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or vendor management.
- Experience in technology procurement (Software, SaaS, Cloud) is preferred.
- Proven track record of developing innovative solutions to complex sourcing or vendor issues.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities; able to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills across internal teams, external vendors, and industry contacts.
