Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Packer to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our Kindig Facility. As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while responsible for their individual station. This position is required to work Friday - Sunday 6AM-6PM. Key responsibilities include inspecting packaged items, verifying package weight, code, dates, and price, examining packages for proper seal, reporting any conditions that could lead to contaminated product, packing product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers, placing carton, can or specialty container onto skid, responsible for training new packers, preparing items, labeling boxes and barrels, rework items, cleaning work areas, giving breaks and lunches, picking chips in processing room as needed, and maintaining an organized and sanitary work environment at all times. Job requirements include basic math and reading skills, willingness and ability to stand 100% of the time, knowledge of product quality and production processes, and moderate lifting (40lbs).
