Job Title: Global Sourcing Manager - Electronics
Location: Deerfield, IL
Salary: $170,000-$190,000 + Bonus
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to join our client's organization in the Deerfield, IL area.
A leading global security and digital products organization is seeking a Manager of Global Sourcing to join its electronics supply chain team. This role is pivotal in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring long-term supply chain sustainability. The position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to lead, mentor, and influence sourcing strategies across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for electronics categories
- Lead negotiations for high-value contracts focused on cost, quality, and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure performance and innovation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align sourcing with business goals
- Monitor industry trends and advise on commercial and technology developments
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and geopolitical factors
- Drive cost reduction and efficiency through supplier diversification and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- 6–8+ years of experience in global strategic sourcing, preferably in electronics
- Proven leadership experience managing local and international teams
- Strong understanding of supply chain functions including procurement, planning, and logistics
- Experience working with component manufacturers (MCUs, memory, actives, etc.)
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing and international supply chain development
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
