We are seeking a mid-level Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Environmental Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to support a variety of environmental projects. This is a full-time, in-person role based in the South Chicago area, with travel to local project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I) and field inspections.
- Investigate historical property records and compile detailed environmental reports.
- Identify environmental risks and potential liabilities associated with properties.
- Perform site visits to collect and analyze environmental data, including signs of contamination.
- Develop technical documentation such as soil boring logs, data tables, maps, and cross-sections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative work ethic.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to project sites in the region.
