Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for attaining sales and profit targets for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering Retail.

Duties

  • Achieve sales targets
  • Recognize revenue areas & develop strategies to impact sales
  • Enforce & execute marketing plans
  • Manage and control direct expenses
  • Oversee direct labor and food cost variance
  • Handle repairs, maintenance, discounts, and other expenses
  • Hire, train, supervise, and retain hourly employees
  • Conduct quarterly reviews and adhere to training programs
  • Determine employee advancement or termination
  • Develop employees into shift managers
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Co-Managers
  • Focus on sales building, staffing, labor, and food cost efficiencies
  • Manage cash, building, and equipment repairs
  • Enforce policies and procedures, evaluate systems & procedures, and provide feedback
  • Handle store emergencies and communicate marketing opportunities

    • Reporting and Meetings

    • Reports directly to District Manager
    • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings
