Davis Endowed Professor ofEconomic Organizations and Innovation beginning January 2026 orpossibly later. We seek scholars who are committed to excellence inundergraduate teaching and research. The position is funded by theShelby Cullom Davis Endowment for American Business and EconomicEnterprise at Trinity College, which was created to fosterunderstanding of, and promote the activity of entrepreneurship andthe operation of a market economy.This is a non-tenured Named Professorship with an initial threeyear contract with eligibility for five year contracts afterwards.This type of position and the renewal process will be clearlyspecified in the appointment letter. If the initial appointment isnot at the level of Full Professor, promotion is possible.QualificationsPh.D. or equivalent. Ph.D. in Economics, Sociology, History, orrelated field, or equivalent terminal degree, such as J.D.Ideal candidates have experience with rigorous student centeredpedagogy that develops transferable skills in composition,research, public speaking, and full and fair consideration ofdiverse viewpoints in the spirit of the liberal arts. A preferencewill be given to candidates with interdisciplinary interests.Candidates will teach four courses per year, and are eligible for aone-semester leave every fourth year. in the Formal Organizationsprogram, based on their specific interests and area of disciplinarycompetence from a broad established curriculum.
