Job Description: GIS Technician

Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a GIS Technician to provide supportive services for our government client. This position is On-site.

The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:

• Convert and edit as-built CAD and image drawings into geospatial datasets, ensuring alignment with spatial data standards and engineering disciplines such as structural, utility, and site design.
• Reconcile source documentation and tabular data into the geospatial system, ensuring consistency with real property and asset records.
• Perform standard file manipulations and adjustments to geospatial and CAD files and image formats including PDF and TIFF.
• Review tabular data and updates GIS layers as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have an active Secret security clearance.
• Must possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Geography, Cartography, or Geographic Information Systems OR must have 4 or more years of experience in GIS field.
