Position: Health Engineering Director - Central Region
As the Health Engineering Director, you will lead the strategic direction, development, and growth of our health engineering practice in the Central Region, supporting the Health Market Sector. The ideal candidate will have the drive, skills, and charisma to secure new projects, oversee health projects, and enhance our reputation worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Health Engineering Goals:- Collaborate with local leadership to meet regional and national business objectives.
- Develop annual strategic initiatives aligned with sector goals.
- Monitor project progress and participate in reviews.
- Create strategies to grow and lead health engineering teams across regions.
- Work with global and regional leaders on marketing initiatives.
Grow Local Teams:- Build and develop multidisciplinary teams, assess staffing, and maintain expertise.
Build Client Relationships:- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a key client manager.
Demonstrate Local Leadership:- Participate in professional organizations and activities to enhance the firm's brand and relationships.
- Mentor colleagues and foster meaningful relationships.
Business Development and Marketing:- Implement premarketing and positioning strategies.
- Support pursuits and coordinate with regional teams.
- Identify leads, develop capture plans, and prepare proposals.
Proposal Writing & Presentations:- Assist in developing proposals and qualifications packages.
- Develop strategies for interviews and presentations.
Global Teamwork:- Collaborate with firm leaders and professionals to develop relationships and deliver quality work.
Project Delivery:- Lead key healthcare projects as Principal in Charge or Project Manager.
- Establish relationships to support innovation and quality delivery.
- Monitor project budgets and performance indicators.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry, with leadership roles.
- Experience in the local/regional health market.
- Proven success in leading large health projects and business development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Skills & Qualifications:- Over 15 years of relevant experience in health engineering.
- Successful in consulting, developing, and executing market strategies.
- Experience in team leadership and sustainable design.
- Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture.
HDR offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement plans, and more. The salary range for this position in Denver is $170,000 - $250,000.
