About STAHLS

STAHLS is the global leader in heat printing technology and apparel decoration. From professional sports to retail fashion, our innovations power the most iconic names in custom apparel. Now, we're investing in the future of one of our most dynamic product categories: Emblems & Patches — including traditional styles and next-generation formats like Liquid 3D.

We're seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to scale this category with particular emphasis on headwear, apparel branding, and premium embellishments.

Position Overview

As Senior Director, Emblems & Patches, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and growth of this category — including embroidered, woven, heat-applied, and Liquid 3D products. You'll drive product innovation, define the go-to-market approach, build strategic partnerships, and lead the development of a repeatable category playbook that can scale across business units, markets, and sales channels.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role with P&L responsibility and the opportunity to shape one of STAHLS' most critical and creative product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for STAHLS' Emblems & Patches category, with a focus on headwear and advanced decoration technologies like Liquid 3D.
  • Manage revenue, margin, and adoption KPIs, and report regularly to executive leadership on category performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production to prioritize innovations that elevate product performance and customer value.

Playbook Development & Oversight

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive category playbook that documents best practices, workflows, pricing models, positioning, and GTM strategies.
  • Enable internal and external stakeholders (sales, marketing, production partners, etc.) with clear tools and guidelines for consistent execution.
  • Lead ongoing optimization of the playbook based on performance data, market feedback, and evolving product capabilities.
  • Drive development of new emblem and patch offerings with engineering, materials science, and design teams.
  • Monitor industry trends in fashion, teamwear, and branded merchandise to identify innovation opportunities.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Develop and lead the go-to-market strategy across key verticals — including product positioning, packaging, pricing, and distribution plans.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales enablement teams to ensure launch success and sustained adoption.
  • Partner with sales teams to build effective training, sales materials, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Provide field support for major client opportunities, pilot programs, and trade show representation.

Partnership Development

  • Identify and grow strategic partnerships across headwear brands, apparel manufacturers, and specialty decorators.
  • Cultivate supplier relationships and co-branding opportunities to enhance the product ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in product leadership, category management, or business development — ideally within decorated apparel, headwear, or accessory markets.
  • Strong knowledge of emblem and patch formats (embroidered, woven, silicone, 3D, etc.), as well as heat-applied materials and manufacturing workflows.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and managing scalable product playbooks or operational frameworks.
  • Proven experience driving P&L, product launches, and cross-functional execution.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage through influence.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and highly organized — comfortable in high-growth, fast-changing environments.
