Our client is a Creative Agency that focuses on the experiential space, they are looking for a new Senior Art Director to join their team in NYC! Position Overview: We are seeking a senior-level Creative Director to lead our design and creative teams and drive the visions across diverse experiential projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand storytelling, design principles, and immersive experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute groundbreaking concepts that captivate audiences and elevate our clients' brands. Key Responsibilities: - Design Leadership: Collaborate with in-house team of 3D and graphic designers to hone design visions for experiential, retail and other design-led projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand identity. - Creative Leadership: Possess a strong creative vision and direction for experiential marketing projects, as it pertains to areas such as creative programming, gifting ideation, partnership and talent integrations, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand identity. - Team Management: Mentor and inspire teams of designers, creative strategists, and copywriters, fostering a collaborative and high-energy creative environment. - Client Collaboration: In tandem with Lead Account Managers, partner with clients to understand their goals, provide creative solutions, and present compelling concepts and designs. Understanding of storytelling and strong copywriting skills are required in order to sell our concepts through to clients. - Project Oversight: Alongside Lead Account Managers, oversee the creative and design process from initial concept through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. - Trends and Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in experiential marketing to inform creative strategies. - Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality of creative output by providing constructive feedback and direction to the teams throughout the project lifecycle. - Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities in order to deliver fresh solutions that can be delivered within timing and budget constraints. - On-Site Lead: Lead event installations and demonstrate confidence as a senior producer on-site during a variety of live experiential event types. Qualifications: - 7+ years of experience in creative direction, preferably within experiential marketing, advertising, or design agencies. - Experience showcasing an understanding of how to execute design is imperative; experience working with print and fabrication vendors highly preferred. Candidate possesses a keen eye for typography, color and layout in order to elevate graphic designs, and demonstrates and understanding of materials and fabrication methods for 3D designs. - Candidate demonstrates an understanding of material costs and basic budgeting. - Proven track record of developing and executing successful experiential campaigns that resonate with audiences. - Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects and leadership experience. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders. - Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), Squarespace, familiarity with HTML & CSS, and comfort using Google Drive and Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of SketchUp a plus. - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines, managing stress well. - Highly organized with diligent follow-through on every task. - Must demonstrate a strong history of on-site experience leading installations and vendors on site for a variety of event types and possess strong decision-making skills. - A passion for creativity, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of experiential design to elevate existing creative and help drive the company to new levels with existing and new clients. - Collaborative spirit is essential. Must be a team player and possesses strong people skills. - Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
