Client Overview:Our client in the engineering industry is seeking a temporary Contract Specialist to join their team for roughly 6 months on a part-time basis. This client offers a collaborative and supportive team, updated office space, and flexible schedule! Salary/Hourly Rate:$30/hr Position Overview:The Contract Specialist will manage the lifecycle of subcontract agreements for the operations teams. They will work closely with project managers, operations, legal, and business development throughout the process. The role will be 20 hours per week, within normal business hours. Responsibilities of the Contract Specialist:
  • The part-time Contract Specialist must prepare, review, and edit a variety of contracts and proposal requests.
  • Negotiate exceptions with internal and external parties, while aligning agreements with project deadlines and legal requirements.
  • Maintain contract templates, ensure compliance, and update internal teams as changes are made.
Required Experience/Skills for the Contract Specialist:
  • The Contract Specialist must have 3 - 5 years of Contract Management experience.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Understand project management deliverables, insurance requirements, and vendor compliance.
  • Must be able to work 20 hours per week fully in the office, between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Contract Specialist:
  • Experience working with AEC Clients, or a knowledge of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
  • Experience with AIA contract documents and FAR clauses.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
