Responsibilities of the Packaging Operator:
- Responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and cleaning all assigned equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Clears any jam-ups and restores production line operation
- As required, set up, operate, and clean the following equipment: bailer, trash compactor, and foamer, while completing all required documentation
- Performs product quality control checks on an ongoing basis
- Notifies others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities and begins to identify areas where operators can assist in resolving concerns
Requirements of the Packaging Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods (8-10 hrs)
- Must be able to do repetitive work
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
