Overview
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Services, but not limited to the duties and responsibilities below:
Responsibilities
Responsible for typing memos, letters, and general correspondence
Responsible for general administrative support
Responsible for entering and updating information into the system and creates reports
Creates files and follows up with any missing documents
Responsible for maintaining forms required by New York State
Responsible for responding to phone calls from prospective students and answering questions; forward certain calls to appropriate advisor.
Mail requested documents
Participates and attends meetings
Responsible for taking minutes for the assigned Committee (includes in person as well as Zoom meetings)
Meets and greets all visitors
Processes online documents utilizing Touro electronic platforms
Interacts with different departments (list)
Interacts with upper-level personnel
Prepares requisitions for department & follows up on difficulties
Keeps track of all orders by the department
Maintains master list(s) as needed
Manages and reviews Associate Dean's Calendar
Posts and types flyer announcements
Liaison between Associate Dean and students
Responsible for ordering supplies for events as well as working with Director of Admissions ordering promotional materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor of Arts preferred.
Bachelor of Science preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
General administrative duties required
Effectively manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines required
Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
Strong interpersonal skills
Well organized, able to prioritize tasks and stay on schedule.

Maximum Salary
USD $59,075.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $47,259.00/Yr.
