Position Type: School Counselor Intern Date Posted: 07/24/25 Location: Normal Community High School Date Available: August 2025 Closing Date: Until Filled Position Title: School Counselor Intern Location: Normal Community High School Department: Counseling Summary: Interns will receive supportive training and supervision from experienced school counselors while obtaining school-based experiences with the following: - Provides emotional, social, and academic counseling, eases school transitions, monitors academic success, and makes referrals to specialized services when needed.
- Acts as a liaison among teachers, parents, administrators, and students, facilitates conferences, maintains records, and coordinates with special services for student placement and support.
- Offers career guidance, assists with course selection and post-high school planning, conducts group sessions, and provides resources on jobs and future opportunities.
