Pay Range:
At The Refuge, a Healing Place, we specialize in unraveling the trauma story, understanding the addiction/mental health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment, substance use disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.
Primary Therapist Responsibilities:
Conduct group, or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the clients.
May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan
Facilitate therapy groups on weekly basis for clients
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. When client needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize the client safety is a top priority.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other relevant Human Services discipline required
Two years of equivalent work experience preferred
Current LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Registered Intern in Florida preferred OR current Certification from the Florida Certification Board in a Substance Abuse related field - MCAP/CAP preferred.
