POSITION: Coordinator of Student Center DEPARTMENT: Student Activities, Involvement, & Leadership (SAIL) REPORTS TO: Director of SAIL and Student Center PRIMARY FUNCTION: Overseeing the Student Center complex and all the associated services/spaces it provides. This position requires on-campus living and includes a meal plan per semester. Minimum Requirements:
- This is a full-time position with evening and weekend commitments
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Prior experience in student involvement at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in higher education/student personnel administration is preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain all common spaces within the Student Center (including the university's fitness center) Oversee hiring, scheduling, and supervision of the Student Center student worker staff (approximately 10-16 students) Work to develop programs and services that will activate Student Center Space Work with external vendors in managing upkeep of Student Center fitness machines (weight machines, cardio machines, bicycles) Maintain and manage inventory of all necessary Student Center Equipment Track usage of the Student Center Create and distribute Student Center related marketing Manage program-related expenditures and revenue for projects under this position Assist in office assessments including but not limited to conducting student surveys, analyzing data, and creating semesterly reports Serve in the Residence Life on-duty rotation as an Administrator on Duty and assist as directed in any crisis/emergency situation and/or university business at times when the Student Life Office is closed Participate in division and department-wide meetings and events Participate in campus-wide university events and programs Participate in university enrollment and orientation programs Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership
