Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Timing and Scheduling Engineer to join a large automotive company. The timing and scheduling engineer will be an important part of a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to develop, maintain and report out on major project timelines. The engineer will evaluate project task durations, timing, and sequencing in the project and how to safely consolidate activities on the construction site across organizations.
Core Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an integrated, comprehensive overall project plan and schedule and resources using MS Project and related tools to meet program objectives
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction, facility contractors, etc.) to gather input and update timelines on a weekly basis
• Analyze project timelines to identify critical paths, upcoming key milestones, potential delays, and resource bottlenecks and lead teams to resolutions
• Perform schedule risk analysis and propose mitigation strategies to project leadership
• Participate in weekly cross-functional schedule review meetings
• Ensure contractual compliance of project schedule updates from all parties
• Generate reports for stakeholders, including progress updates, forecasts, 3 week look-ahead, and recovery plans
• Monitor and report out actual performance against planned activities to ensure the contractual cost and schedule objectives are met
• Input project schedule updates to the Tool Management and Control System (TMaCS) as required
• Support project planning from pre-construction through execution and closeout phases
• Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements and industry standards
• North American travel required to support on site project planning and reviews
