Location: St Albans, WV

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $40,000$45,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and financially savvy Grants Specialist to manage a diverse portfolio of public and private grants. This role is essential in ensuring accurate invoicing, compliance with funder guidelines, and effective budget monitoring. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight & Budget Monitoring
  • Track reimbursable expenses and ensure proper allocation of funds.
  • Monitor grant budgets to prevent over/underspending.
  • Review general ledger activity for accurate coding.
  • Invoicing & Revenue Recognition
  • Prepare and submit timely invoices to funders.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Reconcile grant revenue and expenditures.
  • Grants Lifecycle Management
  • Assist in proposal development and budget preparation.
  • Coordinate post-award processes and maintain grant records.
  • Lead or support financial close-out of grants.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to funder regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide interim and final financial reports.
  • Respond to audit and monitoring requests.
  • Systems & Process Improvement
  • Enhance internal tracking systems and documentation processes.
  • Support integration between financial and grant management systems.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in grants administration, finance, or accounting.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Familiarity with Sage, DonorPerfect, and Concur preferred.

Strong knowledge of nonprofit or governmental grant environments.

Skills & Competencies

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to interpret complex grant regulations.

Collaborative mindset and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
