Job Description :
SUMMARY: The Data Entry/File Clerk will be under the direct supervision of the Payroll Supervisor. Enter payroll data into system using computer and file all confidential payroll records in cabinet assigned to each department. Perform all other related work duties assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Perform all data entry related to payroll.
  • Participate in all payroll audit requests (i.e. DOL, Fiscal, etc.)
  • Assist employees with resetting their passwords in Microix.
  • Update email addresses in Microix.
  • Keep records of all employees leave status.
  • Assists in reconciling year-end W-2s, leave balances and other payroll reports.
  • Creating, scanning, uploading, and managing paper files.
  • Perform back-up payroll clerk duties such as processing timesheets, envelope and distribute paper checks.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Associates of Arts Degree in Business
  • 1-2 years in job-related experiences/training highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Must be outgoing, customer service oriented, and willing to work with all employees.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality no discussing pay rates or sharing payroll information outside of office.
  • General typing and computer skills to input data accurately, understanding of electronic databases and digital storage systems.
  • Possess the ability to accept directions and learn under supervision.
  • The ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
  • Some weekends, and holidays required.
