Position Overview: As a Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacy teams while honing your skills for future responsibilities. You'll gain hands-on experience with our pharmacy operations and contribute to our mission of delivering excellent service to our patients.
During your internship, you will:
- Participate in a comprehensive training roadmap to understand pharmacy operations.
- Support the pharmacy team in accurately filling prescriptions and providing high-quality service.
- Learn to apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Engage with patients by offering support and empathic service, ensuring their needs are met.
- Assist with telephonic prescription clarifications and patient counseling under supervision.
- Participate in inventory management tasks and ensure operational efficiency.
- Be open to feedback and actively seek opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Completing necessary licensure requirements and training for supporting immunizations.
- Educating patients about health services and tracking pertinent patient information.
- Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy school.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern and/or technician licensure.
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ year in pharmacy, retail, or customer service settings.
- Ability to work across multiple store locations to meet business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
