A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Mammography Technologist to join one of their growing outpatient facilities in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (at least 1 Saturday per month)
- Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Department: Radiology Diagnostic
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Provide X-Ray and mammography services to patients
- Review medical information and interprets requisitions accurately
- Report all examination discrepancies to Radiologist, dept head and/or providers as needed
- Keep record/logs of all examinations performed
- Document all examinations in the Radiology system in an accurate and timely fashion
- Document all relevant patient medical information to aid the interpreting Radiologist in diagnosis
- Correct any errors with archival of examinations in a timely fashion
- Monitor functionality of diagnostic equipment
- Observe and report any malfunctioning of equipment
- Ensure mammograms and X-Rays are of optimal quality and that all patient information is accurate
- Ensure examination rooms are stocked and clean
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- A valid license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH
- Post-primary certification in Mammography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Desired Skills:
- BLS certification
- Ability to do both X-Ray and Mammography
