Responsibilities
- The Design Engineer will support our sales and detailing teams by delivering accurate, code-compliant designs across commercial, industrial, conventional, and hybrid projects.
- Will ensure the integrity of our final designs by verifying that all applicable codes and load criteria are properly addressed—all while adhering to company standards and timelines.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed for business demands.
- A proactive mindset geared toward personal and professional development.
Qualifications
- The Design Engineer must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial manufacturing design from a steel manufacturing industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional listening.
- The Design Engineer must have strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Self-motivated with an objective-driven work approach.
- Demonstrated reliability with regular and predictable attendance.
- The Design Engineer must work additional hours when needed.
- Committed to personal and professional growth.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.—no sponsorship available
- Preferred experience with Metal Building Software (MBS) estimating programs.
