Position Overview:

We are seeking a Safety Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety programs for our projects in the Houston, Austin and San Antonio areas. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safety-first culture and supporting field teams to maintain safe job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures across all active job sites.
  • Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports, including incident reports and safety KPIs.
  • Lead safety training sessions and orientations for field staff and subcontractors.
  • Inspect and manage inventory of safety equipment, including PPE, fire protection, fall protection, etc.
  • Organize and facilitate emergency response drills.
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to resolve safety issues promptly.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Serve as a key member of the emergency response team.
  • Other safety-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required, OSHA 500 Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the Dallas, Austin and San Antonio regions.
