A rapidly growing food & beverage manufacturer is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to lead operations across safety, quality, and production. This role oversees ~100 hourly associates and is responsible for driving performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own full P&L and lead daily manufacturing operations.
- Ensure equipment and processes meet safety, quality, and cost standards.
- Support new product development from an operational perspective.
- Leverage automation and data-driven decision-making to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Build and coach a high-performing team with clear performance expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations or engineering.
- Strong technical expertise in high-speed processing systems, controls, and automation.
- Experience in food-grade environments (FDA, GMP, HACCP) strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in managing manufacturing costs and implementing productivity programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required; MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, process improvement skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Experience building collaborative, cross-functional teams.
