Job Title: Procurement Analyst
Salary: $90,000-105,000
Reports To: CFO
Department/Location: Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor payments and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and timely reconciliation.
- Manage loss recovery for inbound carriers, coordinating claims and resolution for damaged or lost shipments.
- Support customer loss prevention efforts, analyzing trends and assisting in fraud and shrinkage reduction.
- Track IT vendor spend and ensure procurement compliance, collaborating with IT and finance to control costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline procurement processes, and optimize vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, procurement, logistics coordination, or related financial operations roles.
- Proven ability to process payments and reconcile transactions accurately and efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of corporate policies, procurement compliance, and vendor management best practices.
- Experience managing loss recovery or claims processes with shipping carriers and third-party vendors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, detect anomalies, and support loss prevention and fraud mitigation efforts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Operations, and Procurement teams to control costs and improve processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor relationship management and cost-saving initiatives.
