Responsibilities:
- Offer counsel and strategic advice on insurance claims to support clients in navigating complex issues.
- Provide expert guidance on policy interpretation, coverage assessments, and claims strategies to maximize client recovery.
- Initiate, coordinate, and host Claim Review Meetings with carriers and clients in collaboration with Business Insurance Executives.
- Collaborate closely with client service teams and insurance carriers to facilitate prompt and effective claim resolutions.
- Evaluate and advise on potential risks and exposures related to insurance claims.
- Negotiate reserve allocations and advocate for favorable outcomes with insurance carriers on behalf of clients.
- Oversee and manage a team of Claims Service Managers to ensure efficient and accurate claims handling.
- Prepare claims summary documents and loss trend analysis reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with client acquisition and retention efforts alongside Business Insurance Executives.
- 3 days onsite/2 days work from home
Must-Have Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law.
- Proven experience in Commercial insurance law with expertise in claims management and policy interpretation.
- 5+ Years of experience within an Insurance Carrier, Agency or Law Firm who handles claims
- Familiarity with claims handling procedures and strategies for claims mitigation and recovery.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring teams.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities to manage relationships with clients and insurers.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with Workers' Compensation, Auto and General Liability, Property, and Cyber Liability claims.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in preparing and presenting loss trend analysis reports.
