We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Recovery Coach and Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our team at The Doorway! The desired schedule is Wednesday & Thursday from 10:00am to 8:30pm, Friday from 9:00am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 8:30pm.Job SummaryAs a Recovery Coach and Clinic/Practice Assistant you'll provide non-clinical services centered on serving as the welcoming first point of contact at our office. This dual-role position combines meaningful peer support with essential administrative responsibilities, ensuring patients feel supported both in their care journey and during their visits.This role is all about connection—fostering trust, offering guidance, and helping individuals find and follow their own recovery pathways. You will be part of the continuum of care in addiction recovery treatment servicesThis role is a blend of two important jobs: supporting people on their recovery journey and being the welcoming face of our program at the front desk. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, and comfortable connecting with people from all walks of life.What You'll Do:Greet everyone who walks through our doors with warmth and respect, creating a judgment-free, safe, and supportive environmentCheck in patients, schedule appointments, manage phone calls, share information, and help direct people to the right staff or resources.Keep things organized by scheduling appointments and handling basic office tasks.Make sure the front desk area and waiting area feels clean, calm, and inviting.Provide administrative support, including handling patient paperwork and data entryProvide friendly, helpful customer service when questions or needs come up.Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to help build trust and connection with our clients by listening, guiding, and encouraging.What We're Looking For:Someone who is dependable, approachable, and supportive.Strong communication skills and a desire to help others feel heard and respected.Ability to stay calm and focused, even when things feel busy or stressful.Good organizational skills and some comfort with computers, spread sheets and data collection.Most importantly having knowledge and comfort working with clients navigating mental health and substance use related concerns and having a commitment to recovery, empathy for others, and a willingness to grow and learn.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required or Bachelor's Degree PSYCHOLOGY preferredLicenses and CredentialsRecovery Coach NH State Certification - within 1yr.preferred Certified Recovery Support Worker [CRSW - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board for Certification of Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professionals preferredExperiencesustained recovery experience 2-3 years required experience working with people with substance use disorders 3-5 years requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients/families and staff.- Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations.- Proficient in the use of office equipment and the computer Microsoft Word and Excel.- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain written records and reports.- Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.- Demonstrates knowledge of and skill in the ability to safely and effectively operate standard.- Strong organizational and leadership skills.Additional Job Details (if applicable)Remote TypeOnsiteWork Location798 Central AvenueScheduled Weekly Hours40Employee TypeRegularWork ShiftDay (United States of America)Pay Range$18.41 - $26.27/HourlyGrade4At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
