Lab Testing TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Lab Testing Technician to provide technical support through the execution of plastics and chemistry evaluations, including failure analysis, material evaluation, and characterization using a variety of techniques and instruments. Your role will also involve reviewing regulatory aspects and interacting with customers to discuss test plans and results.ResponsibilitiesExecute plastics evaluations, including failure analysis and material characterization, using various techniques and instrumentation.Conduct Toxicity and restricted substances review process, as well as other relevant regulatory aspects.Perform chemistry evaluations through failure analysis and material characterization.Interact with customers to discuss requests, test plans, sample requirements, and interim results.Review parts and subassemblies according to the toxicity review process.Develop detailed analytical test reports, including micrographs, calculations, and spectra.Calibrate and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.Manage work queue to address requests in a timely manner.Maintain a safe and organized work area and adhere to all EHS policies.Essential SkillsProficiency in chemistry, failure analysis, and analytical chemistry.Knowledge of techniques such as GC, LC, FTIR, IC, chromatography, DSC, TGA, and XRF.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree.At least 1 year of experience in a lab setting.Ability to complete accurate lab reports.Strong communication skills and ability to learn new tasks.Ability to work on multiple projects and multitask.Understanding of global regulations related to toxicity, such as California Prop 65, RoHS, and REACH.Why Work Here?This position offers growth potential and the opportunity to work on multiple projects, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. You will work alongside a team member in a setting that combines lab documentation, reporting, and hands-on testing.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
