Registered Nurse – MS/Tele

Location: Canton - Potsdam Hospital, 50 Leroy St, Potsdam, NY 13676Contract: 13 Weeks | Shift: Nights (3x12 Hours, 18:45 – 07:15)

Pay Package

• Total Hourly Rate: $61.61/hour
• W2 (Taxable): $20.00/hour
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $41.61/hour
• Weekly Gross: $2,218.00/week
• Hours per Week: 36

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience
• EPIC Charting System experience (Required)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must live 50+ miles from the facility

Unit Details

• Ratios: Days 1:5 | Nights 1:6
• Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac, Respiratory, COVID, Infectious Disease, Pre/Post-Operative, Endocrine, CVA
• Certified Stroke Center
• Float required to sister units: West 2, West 3, Observation Unit

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Documentation & ComplianceUtilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems for medication administration, documentation, and communication.Patient Care & MonitoringProvide care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, endocrine, COVID, infectious disease, and post-operative conditions.Manage CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal cases in a Certified Stroke Center environment.Clinical Skills & ProceduresPerform dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, blood product administration, and PCA.Manage surgical drains, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, and non-invasive airway support.
