Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to join their team! This position is located in Manhattan, New York.

Duties:

  • Perform accounting for mortgage loan investments and service a portfolio of loans
  • Record a variety of journal entries, including acquisitions, dispositions, collections, disbursements, and adjustments
  • Address ad-hoc loan tasks and inquiries such as billing, escrow analysis, escrow payments, payment history, and adjustable-rate settings for internal and external clients
  • Maintain a well-controlled environment by following established procedures and controls
  • Support financial and investment reporting, including STAT and TAX reporting requirements
  • Service a portfolio of loans, including communication with borrowers, servicers, and colleagues
  • Process transactions and research payments as required
  • Prepare and review escrow analysis, full payment statements, amortization schedules, and loan payment histories
  • Execute assignments in accordance with company and department procedures, controls, and systems, incorporating sound decision-making for operational requests

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in loan servicing of commercial mortgage loans; construction loan experience is a plus
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Qlik Sense, Business Objects, Crystal Report Writer, and Microsoft SQL Server for creating SQL queries is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrate good listening skills, and a willingness to learn
  • Accountable for work contributions and able to provide informal guidance to team members as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and provide solutions using education, experience, judgment, and established precedents

The approximate pay range for this position is between $21.00 and $31.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
