Order Entry Clerk
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team in Addison, Illinois. This is a contract-to-permanent role, offering an excellent opportunity for growth within the wholesale distribution industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing of customer orders and maintaining seamless communication across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately input customer orders into the order management system.
- Track and monitor the progress of orders, ensuring timely updates to customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays related to order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all orders and transactions.
- Identify and suggest improvements to enhance order entry processes.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status and related concerns.
- Utilize software tools like Dynamics and Microsoft Outlook effectively for tracking and communication.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems, including Dynamics and Microsoft Outlook.
- Familiarity with order management and customer account processes.
- Excellent typing skills and ability to work with high volumes of data efficiently.
