The Department of Anthropology at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is a growing program, currently housing ten faculty, mentoring more than 65 majors, featuring an Interdisciplinary Masters degree program, and serving students across campus through numerous General Education Core courses. A strong feature of our department is community-engaged research, both locally in the RGV and at other locations nationally and internationally. To that end, we seek a student employee who will help communicate our research and assist in community outreach through a variety of activities. These include: Maintaining the department webpage to reflect current research and highlight departmental news; Produce content for the departments social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). This may include sharing anthropological content from other accounts, from research articles, or creating summaries of departmental news and projects; Develop promotional materials in both print (flyers...Research, Assistant, Graduate, Social Media, Education, Anthropology
