Job DescriptionThis position is an anticipated vacancy. It is expected to be vacant by 09/30/2025. However, the current incumbent has a right to rescind their retirement, leave, or resignation up until the day of the expected vacancy date. Your hire will not be confirmed until the position is vacated, and you may start the year as a Long-Term Substitute if the position does not become vacant by the start of the school year.

General Description and Goals:
As a member of the school-based administrative team, the Program Director is a critical voice in executing the vision of Boston Latin School, leading teachers in a Professional Learning Community, and supporting students in preparation for successful college studies, responsible and engaged citizenship and a rewarding life.
The Program Director is responsible for providing department based leadership and support in the following areas: implementation of school-based and city-wide learning standards, curriculum development and assessment, professional development, supervision and evaluation, program budget and inventory, and the development of external partnerships.
The Program Director is expected to:Be familiar with MA World Language Frameworks and teaching for proficiency.Contribute to the overall operations of the school and will carry out general administrative duties as assigned by the Head Master.Collaborate on the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of workshops.Monitor the effectiveness of school-based programs, and support instructional leaders in their program and professional development effort.Support, monitor and report on the implementation of the standards in individuals.Assist in school-based planning, resource development and problem-solving.Coordinate Seal of Biliteracy testing
Terms: BASAS, Group 9A, 209 DaysThe BASAS contract year runs from September 1 through August 31. All BASAS members must work 209 school days with teachers. The additional days beyond the 183 school days shall be agreed upon with your supervisor. These days shall be considered ‘non-scheduled work' days and should be coded by your supervisor or secretary as ‘S6500' in the timesheet. The additional days may be fulfilled before, during, or following the school year, all work must be completed between September 1 and August 31.
